Setting Up Crypto Wallets For My Kids: Suggested Projects

This is part 1 of setting up crypto wallets for my kids – where I teach them about different crypto projects, proper research methods, and investing for long term HODL.

So my 10 year old has been curious about Cryptocurrency, and has been asking a ton of questions – including whether (and what) he should invest.

This made me think; if I were to give my son advice on what to invest in (for a HODL wallet), what projects would they be, and how would they be split?

Yesterday, I posted a video on TikTok asking the cryptotok community for their opinion(s) on what projects they think will still be around (and do fairly decently) in 1-4-8 years:

And now, 3 days later, my son and I are sitting down to go over the responses so that I can show him the proper way to research each project.

The reason I wanted to ask the community isn’t because I don’t have projects in mind, it’s because I wanted my 10 year old to have a huge list of projects that I can go over with – showing him how to research and decide

Things To Consider With a HODL Wallet

Since it’d be at least a 4-year hold, I wouldn’t be looking specifically at projects that look promising now, I’d also have to consider if those projects will be around 5 years from now…

So this will end up having to be a pretty “safe” wallet (in my opinion), with the potential for decent returns.
